Andromeda polifolia is the latin name for Bog Rosemary. It's so named because it grows well in moist, or boggy soils. It's a broadleaved evergreen shrub, growing 2' high and about 3' wide. It prefers cool climates and acidic soils, and produces white flowers, tinged with pink in the spring. Grow your Bog Rosemary in full sunshine, in rich, moist soil. The addition of peat moss to the planting bed will make your Bog Rosemary exceptionally happy. It's a very slow growing shrub and requires little care.
