Aptenia cordifolia 'Apple Red' is an exceptional groundcover for your area, growing 6"-8" tall, bearing bright red flowers and requiring very little water. The height will help disguise any gopher tunnels or mounds of dirt they leave. Also consider Kinnikinnick, Calylophus hartwegii, Gazania, Malephora (Ice Plant) or Ground Morning Glory. |
