I am restricted in space, and would like to know if colors, subspecies, etc. of Buddleia davidii are smaller in growth than others. I would be interested in the smallest growing one if there is a difference.

Buddleia davidii, or Butterfly Bush, generally grows to about 10' tall. There is a 'Nanho' series which is more compact than other cultivars. Nanho alba has white flowers, N. blue produces mauve-blue flowers, and Nanho purple, the smallest of the series grows to about 5' high, with purple flowers. If you're looking for an unusual flower and compact growth, consider 'Peace'. The flowers are white with orange throats, and maxium height is about 6'.
