I have left over garlic cloves after planting from my Burpee 'select' order. Are these OK to eat?

To be on the safe side, I would say no. The reason for this is that they have not been specifically handled and shipped within the normal regulations applied to "food" items but instead as plant material. Perhaps you can share them with a gardening friend.
