|I planted tomato plants too close together - 6 plants about 4 inches apart. They are now close to 5 feet tall, producing blossoms and fruit every day. Should I try to move some of them to space them out? If so, how do I do that without destroying the plant I'm moving?|
|I would not try to move them now. I would go on harvesting as the heat of summer will soon be shutting down production anyway. |
If you want to provide more light for the crowded vines, you could lean every other vine outward from the row a bit to spread them out (the row would then look like a "V" from the end view). This is accomplished by tying them to a trellis support that leans out.
