Dried Potato Sets - Knowledgebase Question

I received my potato sets several weeks ago but have been unable to plant them due to inclement weather (snow in April!). In one of the sacks, the potato sets have all dried out, but the eye looks swollen and ready to plant. Does it matter if there isn't anything but an eye and no substance to plant?

The eye is the spot which will sprout when you plant it. There should be two or three eyes, or buds, on each piece. As for the set being dried out, it's hard to predict. The rest of the set provides nourishment while the plant gets going. You can try planting them, but I think the percentage that thrives might be lower than normal. Good luck!
