I have recently planted several butterfly bushes. Most of them are doing well, however two of them have holes in the leaves. They look as if they have been eaten by something. Should I do anything or is this normal?

One of the sweet things about buddleia is that it has few serious pests. Keep an eye on the bush, and if you see caterpillars or Japanese beetles feeding on the leaves, you can simply pick them off. A little nibbling is well within the tolerance of the plant, but regular checking and picking will prevent pest outbreaks. Enjoy!
