| Aubrieta, or Purple Rock Cress, is an easy plant to care for. Simply cut it back hard after flowering to keep it looking and growing its best. You can use the cuttings to start new plants and root them directly in the soil or in sharp sand. They should root readily. To prepare a stem after cutting, pull off the lower leaves but leave the upper leaves in place. Place the cutting in moistened soil or sand, deeply enough for one or two leaf scars to be covered with soil. New roots will develop at one or both of the leaf scars. |
