Can I make my own rose tree from either a regular rosebush or a climbing rosebush? What is the procedure for creating such a tree?

Tree roses, also called standards, are actually budded or grafted onto a 2-4 foot tall rootstock, rather than being grafted close to the ground, such as a regular bush would be. It's possible for you do this yourself, but it is a bit of a challenge. To get started, you would need to research the best rootstock and top section, then find suppliers for both.
