I have 1 lemon tree that is 2 years old. It's growth has not progressed as I would expect. How can I promote it's growth? |
Have you fertilized at all? A 2-3 year-old lemon tree requires about one-half pound of actual nitrogen annually. It should be divided into three separate feedings every four months or so. Note that one-half pound of actual nitrogen is not the same as the total weight of the fertilizer itself. If you don't have a good nursery nearby, try to purchase fertilizer formulated specifically for citrus and follow the package instructions. Water the lemon tree thoroughly before and after applying fertilizer to prevent burn. Good luck! |
