How far apart should I thin my radishes? The packages I got from the nursury this year didn't have the instructions. I never get too many, and I think maybe they need to be thinned more.

You're correct in that properly spaced plants will thrive and produce more than crowded ones. I start thinning by using about a finger width between seedlings and then increase that to two fingerwidths (about an inch) as radishes begin to develop. You can munch the larger ones you pull! Some radish varieties are larger than others (e.g., 3/4" up to 1 1/2") so take that into consideration. Radishes are fast maturing, so you can sow again as you consume the first crop. Good luck with your radishes!
