|Are there different types of Cannas for planting in the ground and those for water gardens?

|There are two species of Cannas, the most popular is the kind that produces flower spikes like those of gladiolus. The second species has orchid-looking blossoms. Cannas thrive in moist, rich soil and are perfectly suited to growing in boggy areas. Cannas will grow quite happily if planted in rich soil, with the pot placed at the edge of a pond. I've had good experience with Cannas, Japanese Flag and ornamental grasses after potting them up and placing them on a shelf in a pond where they sit in 6"-8" inches of water.
