Fuchsias grow best in cool summer temperatures, in modified sunlight, and with much moisture in the atmosphere and the soil. If you live where fog rolls in on summer afternoons, any place in your garden will supply these conditions. Where summers are warm, windy, dry, or sunny, find or create a favorable site protected from wind and in morning sun or all-day dappled shade - somewhere where you would be comfortable sitting on a hot summer afternoon. Soil moisture is extremely important for fuchsias. If yours or in pots, you may want to water every morning to keep the plants happy. |
