Strawberries - Knowledgebase Question

I planted strawberries for my first time this year in terra cotta planters. The plants are growing like crazy, but I haven't had any blooms yet. Is this normal? When should I expect them to bloom?

As long as the plants are growing, they should begin to produce blossoms at any time now. Strawberries flower best when given all day sunshine. Hold off on fertilizer until after the fruit ripens, though, or your plants will be so busy growing green leaves, they won't take time to develop blooms. (Nitrogen encourages lush, green growth at the expense of flowers and fruits.)
