|I would like to grow Spanish lavender, as the heat in Virginia is harsh for English lavender. Do you have a source for this?|
|Lavandula (Lavender) thrives in zones 5 to 8 and should grow well in your gardening region. If you've had poor success with English lavender, perhaps the culture was not as required. Both English and Spanish Lavender (L.stoechas) have the same growing requirements. The only difference between the plants are the color and size of the flowers.|
Grow lavender in full sun and very little water. Give it loose, fast draining soil and little to no fertilizer. Trim the plants back immediately after blooming to keep the plants neat and compact.
