| My daylilies have nearly finished blooming and have large "pods" on the tops of them. Should I remove the pods? |
| You can cut the entire flowering stem from the plant as soon as the blossoms are spent. This not only keeps the plants looking neat, it remove the developing seed pods so the plant will direct its energy into root and foliage growth instead of seeds. Daylilies are easily propagated by dividing the plants, so seed development isn't necessary to increase your stock of plants. |
