My hollyhocks are 7 feet tall and are done blooming. Do I cut them down to the ground or half way down or leave them? Will they bloom again this season or not till next year?Thank you for your help.

Cutting the stalks back immediately after blooming may produce a second bloom, so go ahead and cut it back about two-thirds. New little stalks should appear and produce smaller blooms on sideshoots.
