I had to dig up hybrid lilies and stella daylilies in July due to landscaping changes. When do I need to transplant them? If I have to wait until spring what do I do with them in the winter?

Actually, you need to replant them immediately if at all possible. Midsummer is not the ideal time to transplant, but it is far better to replant them than try to hold them for any length of time. Replant, mulch, and keep them well watered until they are reestablished. Good luck with your plants!
