I've heard that there are bulbs for every season. Some that bloom in the spring, summer ,fall and, even the winter. If this is true, I'm intrested in layering or planting these bulbs side by side.

Typical spring bulbs would include crocus, daffodils and tulips. Summer bulbs would include lilies (lilium). Fall bulbs would include fall-blooming crocus (colchicum) and winter bulbs would include the amaryllis and paperwhites used for holiday forcing.
