When is the best time to plant Lychee trees?

The best times to plant trees and shrubs is in the spring or fall months, when natural rainfall and cooler temperatures help in the adjustment. Try to avoid planting during the hottest summer months, or when the ground is frozen (which is unlikely in your California garden!)
