I recently bought a scavola growing in a hanging pot. It suddenly turned brown and died. I can't find any info on this flower, or any insect or disease problems it may have. Do you have any info on it?

Scaevola is a wonderful plant for hot, dry southern summers. It wants to have full sun, but will tolerate some shade. It insists on excellent drainage. Soggy soil will result in rapid decline and death.

I have grown scaevola in the south and watched it laugh at our blistering hot weather, until it stayed a bit on the wet side for too long. I am not aware of any insect problems with this plant. I have seen a fungal leaf spot on rare occasions, but have never seen it become enough of a problem to warrant treatment.
