After removing seeds of the peach and plum, wash and crack the outer shell. Then place between the folds of a dampened papertowel and seal in a plastic bag. Refrigerate for 4 weeks, then plant in moistened potting soil, placing the seeds 1 1/2 times as deep as they are wide. They should sprout in 30-45 days at room temperature.

Acorns need a slightly different treatment prior to germination. First soak for 24 hours, then mix with moistened potting soil and seal in a plastic bag. Refrigerate for 3 months, then plant on the surface of moistened potting soil (seeds need light to germinate). Press them in with your hand, but don't cover with additional soil. Seeds will germinate in 120-365 days.
