I would like to find a vine that grows fairly quickly, perhaps flowers, but most important stays green all year. I have jasmine but it grows very slowly, I prefer a climber of sorts so it can cover my chainlink fence.

Cat's claw vine is a terrific vine for the low desert. It does stay green all year, takes hot and dry conditions, including southern and western exposures, with little water (although with regular water it will grow faster and look more lush), climbs without supports (it has little three-pronged "claws" that it grabs with) and blooms with a bright yellow trumpet-shaped flower in spring. It doesn't look like much in the nursery containers, but it will take off once it's in the ground. It's an easy plant to grow! I hope this info helps.
