|Our cantalopes were beautiful this year. Very large and smelled delicious, but they had no taste. Is there a reason for this? If so what can I do?

|Flavor is to some extent a function of the variety you grow, but it is also dependent on ripeness. As hard as it can be to do, the best thing is to pick them when ripe and then wait another day or two leaving them to sit in a room temperature spot. For some reason this brings out the flavor.
