I have been using castor from Gardener' Supply all summer & have succeeded in moving the interloper from front yard to back. He/they are now under my herb garden. The entry is evident. Should I flood it? The area is 2'8' under my kitchen window. How long should I run the water? Am I wasting my time with flooding?

In many instances, moles are an indicator of healthy soil and do not really need to be controlled unless they are causing extensive damage. In my experience flooding is not effective and wastes a lot of water. Unfortunately, the most effective way to get rid of moles is to trap them. You might find the information at this web site helpful in determining if the pest is actually moles and deciding how best to deal with them. It includes detailed information on their habits and how to trap them. http://muextension.missouri.ed...
