|When canning tomatoes or making bread and butter pickles, once in a while I have a jar that doesn't seal. What causes this?

|Probably the most common reason the vacuum fails when using modern jars and closures is slightly bent or warped caps. You should always use a brand new flat lid and only reuse bands that are in good condition.
