I live in southern california. I am interested in growing butter beans. Can I do this now in the fall if I plant them in partial to full sun?

Lima beans grow best in warm summer temperatures (optimal range is 70-85 degrees). You'll be happier with the harvest if you grow snap beans in the fall and baby lima's in the summer. All beans thrive in full sunshine and regular watering to keep their shallow roots from drying out.
