I only have room to plant a single 20ft. row of corn between other vegetables. How can I best help pollinate each stalk? Would it help if I shook the tassles from one stalk to the next stalk on a calm day?

You could pollinate the corn that way. Another option is to cut off a tassel when they first start to drop pollen and walk down the row, gently shaking some pollen off just above each ear with silk emerging. Do this with a new tassel every day or two for about a week and you should harvest a decent crop of well-filled ears.

Good luck with your corn crop!
