According to the only question in our database regarding melrose peppers, it is a mild to sweet green-colored pepper. It is more oblong then a bell pepper but not as long and thin as banana pepper and it tends to be light to dark green in color.

No sources came up on my database search, but you might want to try The Pepper Gal, a mail order source. A catalog is available with MANY pepper descriptions listed, perhaps you could request the catalog and check out the descriptions. You may find this pepper under another name. Here is
the address and phone number:
The Pepper Gal P.O. Box 23006 Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33307-3006
Ph. 954-537-5540

Also, you might try heirloom seed sources and seed exchanges. The National Garden Association website has a seed exchange. Go to www.nga.com. Another possibility is the Seed Savers Exchange in Iowa, 3076 North Winn Road Decorah, IA 52101. I'm not sure if they have a website yet, but they have been around for many years with the goal of saving heirloom seeds. And finally, here's a webpage that lists lots of seed exchanges online: http://seedsavers.org/bibliogr... Good luck--if you find the melrose pepper, let us know!
