|I have 4 dwarf hmelocks in my yard (they are about 5 or 6 feet tall). This week I noticed that the two hemlocks in my backyard have lost almost all of their needles. But the two in the front yard look perfectly healthy. |
The two that have lost their needles are in a shady location. They are about 6 years old, and this has never happened before. Any advice?
|While hemlocks may grow a bit sparse in deep shade, to be honest this sounds like it could be a serious problem and unfortunately based on your description I can't begin to make a diagnosis. You might want to check with your County Extension (790-5818) for a more precise identification of the problem and suggested remedies.|
