When I purchased my home it had beautiful rose bushes with it. They are growing out of control. They come with very beautiful roses, I just would like to know when and how to trim them? |
Most roses are pruned in early spring, but the actual techniques vary depending on which types of roses you are growing. You might wish to take a look at a basic book or two about growing and caring for roses, because for the best results you do need to do things according to an approximate schedule. One I particularly like because it is straighforward and has excellent pruning diagrams, is "Roses for Dummies" by Lance Walheim, ISBN 0-7645-5031-4. |
