Seeds are best planted in the spring. They should be removed from their husks. Please note that all parts of Ricinus communis or castor bean are poisonous, especially the seeds. The seeds are quite attractive and can be appealing to small children. In addition, handling of foliage and seeds may cause skin irritation. Thanks for writing!
