I live in RI and it is considered zone 6. I notice that sweet potato mature in anywhere from 90 to 120 days. When would I plant sweet potato in order to give them the time to mature? |
Generally you just have to wait to plant them when the soil has warmed. In some cases you will do better to use a raised bed located in a sheltered and warmer microclimate (reflected heat from a building or pavement can help) and might try warming the soil using black plastic. I suppose that's why it is generally considered a southern crop, but it's fun to try! |
