When coneflowers are through blooming do you pull them up or just cut them back?

Just cut back the spent bloom stalks. Coneflowers (Echinacea) are perennials and will often bloom again later in the season. They will also survive through the winter and return again from their underground structures next year.

Good luck with your coneflowers!
