Pampas Grass - Knowledgebase Question

What type of Pampas Grass would grow well in my area of Southern Wisconsin? I would like to fill in a ditch. It has plenty of sunshine, but I am worried about the winters. The ditch also lays next to a corn field, and the farmer sprays weed killer on it, so is it wise to plant here?

Most farmers are pretty careful about overspray, but it is certainly possible that the ditch area would be sprayed with herbicides. Apart from that, however, the ditch is probably there for a serious purpose, namely controlling runoff. Planting in it may interrupt the flow of water and hamper drainage, so it is probably not a good idea.
