I have just purchased a sago palm that has new growth in the center. The color of the new growth is light green. All the articles I've read on the sago palm tell you to cut off any yellow or brown growth. I'm not sure if the color of the new growth is normal or if it needs to be removed. The new leaves are still soft and shaped as though they have just opened.

It is normal for the new growth on a sago to be light green. As the fronds unfurl and reach full size they will darken in color.

Thanks for the questions and good luck with your new sago!
