I have an avocado tree 8 yrs. old that I started from a seed. It has not bloomed. How can I get it to bloom, or how long does the tree take an avocado tree to mature enough to start blooming?

A seedling avocado may take 10 to 15 years to start bearing fruit, and even then the fruit will not be true to the parent variety. For this reason commercial avocado trees are grafted to an improved variety. You could graft your tree to an improved variety or wait a few more years and take a chance on the fruit quality being acceptable to you.
