| Humulus lupulus, the common hop, is a perennial vine and you can cut the stems down to the ground after frost turns them brown. New growth will sprout next spring. If you'd like to dig and divide your plant, wait until growth begins in the spring. Then divide the root mass, making sure that each division has both roots and stems. Replant and water well until the new plants become established. |
