I live in zone 5 and have a lantana that I grew in a pot over the summer. I know here it is an annual but I heard in warmer climates it is a perennial. Can I overwinter this?

Yes, lantana is a perennial in warmer zones, but it's also frost tender even in the desert. Bring the pot indoors for the winter and put it in a bright, sunny location with good air circulation. The shock of a new environment may cause it to drop leaves. Water when soil dries out. Fertilize lightly once a month. Next spring, trim the plant back and it should sprout new growth. Good luck!
