I was given a hibuscus tree (with three vines intertwined) last spring. Last summer and fall it bloomed continuously with 3 different colors and blooms at least 8 inches across.
Tree was brought in last fall and this spring placed outdoors on my front terrace, getting at least5 hours of afternoon sun. It did not bloom at all - all summer and having brought it indoors now - I am still feeding it with miracle grow every 2 weeks. How do I get this tree to bloom again?

In many cases the plants do well on reserved energy developed during their life at the professional growers and then, as they adapt to life in the northern climate, tend to fade away. These plants need full sun and a rich soil as well as ample water to do their best. During the winter, they will bloom indoors if kept under optimal conditions including very bright sunlight but in most cases they languish quite a bit. Your plant may need to be repotted and/or pruned to stimulate new growth and blooms. Unless you are able to provide them with near-greenhouse conditions I would wait until early spring to do this and then try to get them out into the real sunshine as early as possible next spring -- perhaps set them out for the day and bring them in at night beginning as soon as daytime teperatures are around fifty.
