Can you give me instructions on how to prepare a homemade garlic and/or pepper spray cat repellent? Specifically, what ratio of ingredients to water. I tried mothballs, but cats are continually using my lawn as their litter box.

Thank you for any help.

Here is a recipe -- it has many variations so feel free to experiment. Some people mix it in a blender, others by hand. If you plan to put it through a sprayer, strain it first. Keep in mind it will need ot be applied fairly often and again after rain. Good luck!

Mix into a quart of water: one clove garlic (chopped), one
onion (chopped), 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce, 1 Tablespoon
cayenne pepper or chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon dishwashing
liquid. Dribble over area to be protected. Be sure to wear
rubber gloves and be careful not to get this in your eyes or
on your skin.
