I would like to know when it is good to buy and plant a navel orange tree. What fertilizer should be used? |
You can plant citrus most any time of the year in your neck of the woods. Citrus trees have shallow feeder roots so they require moist but well-draining soils. It's usually not necessary to fertilize young, vigorous trees, but mature citrus can be fed a high-nitrogen fertilizer; one-pound of actual nitrogen divided into thirds and applied in June, August and January. |
