I have a 2 year old Babcock peach and an Apricot tree. Although not expecting any fruit until next year, I did have two big, delicious peaches this summer. What can I do over to winter to ensure I have a great first-season crop next year?

Peach and apricot trees are hardy to -20F. Let's hope your California garden doesn't get anywhere near those temperatures this winter! No special treatment is required other than to provide regular water (1-inch per week)if natural rainfall is sparse over the winter months.

Hope you have a bumper crop on your new trees!
