Can a Citron (Citrullus Lanatus v. citroides) cross with cucumbers, cantaloupe, winter squash or pumpkins? I know they can cross with watermelons, but I don't have any watermelons in my garden. I ask this because I have saved Citron seeds and sent them to a couple of people, but the plant they produce may be significantly different if they cross. I don't really want to start a horticultural disaster.

According to the chart at the following page your citron will cross with other citrons and with watermelons, but that's it. So it looks like you're in the clear!
