My roses seem to be attracting a large number of bees, wasps, and flies. Most of the commercial products sold to control these insects would kill the rose bush. Is there any other remedy?

Those are all excellent pollinators, which typically don't do any damage to roses. Spraying will indiscriminately kill beneficial insects as well, and can create an imbalance that allows true pests, such as aphids, to flourish in your roses. We get many questions from people trying to attract pollinators to their garden, so they would tell you that you're lucky!
