Can I fertilize wild blackberries to increase their yield?

You could fertilize the wild plants and possibly increase their yield, but you might see more rewarding results by growing a named variety of blackberry selected because of the quantity and quality of its berries. Quantity, quality and size can also be influenced to some extent by the amount of sunlight and water the plants receive -- as well as by the spring and summer weather. Finally, proper pruning can enhance yield, too.
