Can red worms be used for indoor composting in the winter and how?

Vermicomposting can be used year round as long as you can keep their bin at average household temperature so they stay active and do not freeze. Red worms are one of the sorts typically used for this. For more detailed information about constructing a bin and keeping the worms healthy you might want to take a look at this site or one of the many other internet sites devoted to vermicomposting -- a quick search for "vermicomposting" will yield many results including those for worm and bin suppliers.
