I have some very large tuberous begonias that are as large as the pot they were grown in. How do I go about cutting them into smaller portions and do they need a treatment to keep any fungus out after I cut them?

They can be divided by cutting off a section with an "eye," or bud. This is usually done in spring when the eyes start to swell. You can leave the cut to cure naturally for a few days, or if you are planting immediately, dust with sulfur. (One bulb expert I know dusts with Comet cleanser. I can't vouch for this personally, but she grows beautiful bulbs!)
