I am wondering if I planted a Roundup ready soybean in my garden and had someone harvest the seed with a combine if the trait of being resistant to Roundup would be passed on to the seed of the soybean?

Monsanto has developed plants with the Roundup Ready? gene. These genetically enhanced plants will tolerate over-the-top applications of Roundup. Since the plant carries the gene, the gene should appear in seeds developed by these genetically altered plants.
