The light provided by incandescent bulbs can be used to help supplement winter daylight when growing houseplants, but it is really not sufficient to grow healthy, productive bean plants using that alone. These plants grow best in full sun outdoors so ideally you would use a combination of metal halide and sodium HID (high intensity discharge) lamps.
